Sarthak Katyal

Hi, my name is Sarthak Katyal; I’m currently an analyst on the Structured Note Origination team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York. I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2025 where I studied Finance and Data Science. Prior to this role, I interned with BAML in their Chief Investment Office on a Quantitative Investment Oversight team, and before that I interned with CohnReznick in their Tech Strategy & Diligence Consulting Practice.

I’m happy to talk about the switch from consulting to finance, product specialist careers in wealth management, capital markets, cross-asset/equity derivatives/structured notes, and finance/consulting in general. Specifically, I’m excited in enabling people with the necessary access and knowledge to break into their ideal role.
